Following the de-facto government's takeover in August 2021, Afghan women and girls have faced severe challenges across various aspects of life. This webinar will present findings from an in-depth study commissioned by ADB and conducted by UNDP to examine the impact of these changes on women and girls across 10 provinces in Afghanistan. The study draws on data from 8,000 survey respondents and over 100 focus group discussions with women, girls, and their families, offering a comprehensive look at how they are coping with a restricted socio-economic environment. The study focuses on six key areas: livelihoods, entrepreneurship, education, healthcare, food security, and decision-making.
Join us to examine the findings and engage in a discussion on how the international community can support Afghan women and girls in navigating these difficult times and rebuilding their opportunities.
